The First Whale You See On Hornblower Cruises Whale & Dolphin Watching Adventure Is From The Wyland Collection!

Hornblower Unveils Wyland Art Gracing Bows

Of Whale Watching Boat on 12/11!

SAN DIEGO – Guests on Hornblower Cruises & Events’ Whale & Dolphin Watching Adventures will spot their first whale before they even leave the dock! That is, the first Gray Whale that they will see is a beautiful brush art rendition by the renowned marine life artist Wyland gracing the bows of Adventure Hornblower. Stretching over six feet high, Wyland agreed to let Hornblower enlarge his art to put on either side of the bows of the boat in honor of the whale watching season in San Diego, which begins on December 15.

Over the course of his career, Wyland has earned the distinction of being one of America’s most unique creative influences and a leading advocate for marine resource conservation. An accomplished painter, sculptor, photographer, writer, and SCUBA diver, he has traveled the farthest reaches of the globe for more than twenty-five years, capturing the raw power and beauty of the undersea universe. Wyland’s non-profit foundation is currently on a five-year national tour for clean water, with classroom education, public art events, and a rolling clean water mobile learning center. www.wylandfoundation.org
