Dulzura Village

The village of 'Dulzura' lies off of Old Highway 94, only 35 minutes east of downtown San Diego. With a population of only 700 it seems to be in another time- a glimpse into the 'Old West' America of the past. The Dulzura Cafe is the first stop on a 'Tecate Tour'-
a daytrip into the backcountry of San Diego on old Highway 94.

Dulzura Community Development Committee announces the date for their delicious Deep Pit Barbecue, Sunday, August 3, held just 500 feet east of the Dulzura Cafe on Highway 94. (17 miles east of Rancho San Diego) Guaranteed the best barbecued beef and pork you've ever eaten, served with coleslaw, beans, corn-on-the-cob, roll, and with beverage included. Event includes Country Store homemade goodies, an auction, raffles, horseshoes, dunk tank, and music!
